Eye Wrinkles

The first place most of us begin to see wrinkles is around the eyes.  Crows feet often make men and women look older than they would like.  There are steps that can be taken to help slow and remove these unsightly wrinkles and make your skin look smooth and youthful.

Some people wrinkle earlier than others.  This may be somewhat due to heredity, but it also has a lot to do with lifestyle.  Sun exposure is a big factor in all wrinkles including eye wrinkles.  Sunscreen should be worn at all times, even on cloudy days or days when you will not be outside very much.  Squinting in the sun can also increase eye wrinkles, so it is a good idea to invest in a good pair of sunglasses.    Dinking plenty of water and following a healthy diet are also important for the skin as well as the rest of the body.   The more fruits and vegetables, high in antioxidants, that you eat the less likely it is that your skin will age prematurely.

No matter how hard you try wrinkles will eventually find you.  If eye wrinkles have already set in then you will need to take measures to reduce them.  Botox or other injections are one option.  Botox works by relaxing the muscle so that wrinkles are reduced temporarily.  These injections have to be done every 3 to six months for the results to remain.

If you do not want to go to the extreme or expense of injections there are anti wrinkle creams created especially for the eye area that can reduce wrinkles and make skin look more youthful.  There are many creams and serums available so you need to look for the correct ingredients that produce results.  Matrixyl is a promising has been shown to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles.  Vitamin C is a natural ingredient to promote collagen production.  When these ingredients are used together the results will be better with younger looking skin and eyes.
